The Moravian Church and Whitfield United Reformed Church combined in 1992 and use the Moravian premises.
Whitfield URC dates from 1739 and the Moravian Church from 1745.
United Church Kingswood has a small, friendly congregation which reaches out to the community through a community choir, monthly Saturday coffee mornings, the proceeds of which mostly go to charitable causes and an occasional weekday coffee and chat drop in session.
Additionally, our premises are used by a Disabled Group, a Carers Support Group and are also the District Scout Association Headquarters.

The Moravian Church in Maudlin Street, Bristol closed in 1971 and was demolised in 1973. The memorial headstones were placed in the Kingswood Moravian Church grounds (now United Church Kingswood (Moravian and Whitfield URC)) BS15 8HU. All the remains were transferred to Canford Cemetry, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol BS9 3PQ and re-interred. A small memorial plaque and further information can be found there.
