Balmoral Show - 2026

As part of the Irish District trying to put the name of the Moravian Church into more people’s minds we have for the last four years taken a stand at the Balmoral Show which is the 4th biggest agricultural and home living show in the UK (Royal Highland, Yorkshire and Welsh shows bigger). This allows the 126k people entering the show to walk past our stand, receive a sweet or a duck (plastic) and of course leaflets on what the Moravian Church is about and that it’s alive in Ireland. Two pop-op banners support the stand with one showing our 365 yearly prayer watch and the other showing the Moravian motto of ‘in essentials Unity …’ etc.

The stand allows for conversations, chats, laughs and fellowship and puts us alongside organisations like the Methodist Church in Ireland, Christian Aid and the Presbyterian Church showing that faith is alive amongst the farming community. Is it worth it? The district believes it is.
