Bath Weston - Sept 2026

On Sunday 19th July, we held a Western District Church Service, which included an adult baptism plus Holy Communion. The baptism was for Judith as the photograph shows, who has been faithfully coming to church for quite a while now, bringing her dog Sunny who just lies down and sleeps through the service. Judith has now found God through her sessions with Sr Lorraine, and likes to help out when she can and her speciality is shortbread.

This was also Sr Jane Carter’s last time with the whole Western District, which was sad, but she went out with a great talk about her Sabbatical leave and love of sewing, which keeps her sane!! Sr Jane brought along her finished quilt – it was gorgeous, so neatly done.

All this was followed by a BBQ lunch with all the trimmings to go with it, plus scones with jam and cream for afters. This get together was a great success.
