Retirement of Br Edwin Quildan Br Edwin Quildan retired from congregation ministry in September after many years of service. Br Edwin was an active member of the Hornsey congregation for several years, and after attending a lay training course in the Eastern District, he started leading worship and felt a call to ordained ministry.
Our time in Christiansfeld On 16th September 2024, Sr Sarah Groves sent an email, expressing her vision for some members of the Gracehill Moravian Congregation and our friends to consider a visit to Christiansfeld in Denmark. She suggested that this trip could coincide with the Christiansfeld Church Anniversary on 10th August the following year, sparking the initial idea for what would become a very memorable journey.
Wild Church – A Spirituality of Nature Wild Church is a relatively new style of worship; it follows on from the Messy Church model but really it is older than church itself! Worshiping God in nature is the most basic and natural form of worship. Wild Church, Forest Church, Wild Worship, whatever you prefer to call it is all about discovering God in nature.
Mission Possible – Summer Camp 2025 This year’s summer camp took place from Monday 28th July to the 1st of August at the Boundless Outdoor Centre in Bell Heath Stourbridge. The theme for the week was Mission Possible as we tried to show the young people of our church that through God and with the support and love of each other all things were possible.
Celebrating a Decade of World Heritage in Christiansfeld In July this year, Christianfeld marked the 10th anniversary of its inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and we were delighted to return to join the celebrations. In 2015 we had the honour of attending the ceremony heralding Christiansfeld’s inscription in the presence of Queen Marguerite of Denmark.
