The Lord executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and loves the strangers, providing them food and clothing. You shall also love the stranger. Deuteronomy 10:18-19
Jesus said, ‘Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was naked and you gave me clothing.’ Matthew 25:34,36
In 1722, in Herrnhut, the practice of having a Biblical text as a shared daily "Watchword" among the inhabitants was born.
Over 300 years later it still exists, in a printed book and now online.
